Game Privacy Policy
This policy covers the EMBERLOST game in every form we distribute it: the Android app (com.emberlost.game), the desktop versions (Steam and the itch.io download) and the game itself when played in a browser. 1. What the game collects
Nothing. The game does not collect, sell or share any personal data. There are no accounts and no advertising, and the game's own code contains no analytics, tracking or third-party data-collection code.
When you play in a browser at emberlost.com, the page is delivered by our website: its content delivery network runs its own measurement and our servers keep standard logs. That is the website's processing, not the game's, and it is described in the website Privacy Policy.
The Android app and the desktop versions contain every game file, including the music, and play fully offline: in these versions the game makes no network requests and sends nothing about you or your play to us or to anyone else.
2. What stays on your device
Your progress and settings (for example which chapters you have reached and your language) are saved only in the game's local storage on your device. They never leave your device through the game.
3. Deleting your data
- Android: Settings › Apps › EMBERLOST › Storage › Clear storage, or uninstall the app.
- Steam (desktop app): progress is kept in the app's own data folder, which uninstalling may leave behind. Delete that folder to remove it: Windows
%APPDATA%\EMBERLOST, macOS~/Library/Application Support/EMBERLOST, Linux~/.config/EMBERLOST. - itch.io download: the downloaded game runs in your web browser, which keeps its saved progress; clear your browser's site data to remove it.

4. Android backup
If you have turned on Android's own device backup, Android may include the game's saved progress in your personal backup. That backup is handled by Google under your account settings; we never receive it. You can turn it off in your device settings.
5. Permissions
The Android app declares internet access because it is standard for the app framework we use. The game itself makes no network requests and asks for no other permissions (no location, contacts, camera, microphone or files).
6. Purchases
EMBERLOST is sold as a paid game through the store you buy it from (Google Play, Steam or itch.io). The store processes the payment; we never see your card or payment details and receive only the store's standard sales reports. There are no in-app purchases.
7. Children
The game collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
8. Changes and contact
If the game ever changes in a way that affects privacy, we will update this page and the date above before the change takes effect.
