Description

EMBERLOST is a handcrafted, dark-atmospheric 2D side-scroller about the last ember in a world gone cold. You are Kav — a small keeper of a small fire — walking east through fog, rain and ash to wake the sleeping hearths of a dying world. There are no words and no interface: the story is told entirely by light, shadow, music and the things you dare to approach. Your ember is your life, your lantern and your currency; every spark you gather makes the dark retreat a step, and every gate you burn through costs part of yourself.

The journey unfolds in chapters, released as seasons. Season I is complete: all ten chapters are live — from a frozen forest under a fallen giant, through a marsh of false lights, a valley where lightning is the only map and an abandoned village that still answers the bell, down into the mine, along an underground river and up a storm-blown ash slope to the Great Hearth. Chapter I is free in the browser; the full season is a one-time purchase. Season II is in writing, and store releases follow.
